What is a captcha checking?
A captcha is a small test that is easy for people and hard for bots. It might ask you to type distorted characters, slide a puzzle piece into place, pick matching images or simply tick a box while it watches how your browser behaves.
Some captchas also check background signals, such as whether scripts load correctly and whether your connection looks unusual. That is why a captcha can fail even when your answer is right.
Why does it keep failing?

What about slider and image captchas on phones?
Slider puzzles can fail if you drag too fast or too straight, because the system checks for natural movement. Drag at a normal pace and release when the piece lines up. Image captchas on small screens can be hard to see; zoom in or rotate the phone.
Tip: if the captcha loads as a blank box, that is almost always a blocked script or slow connection, not a wrong answer. Fix the connection first.
